Whilst chatting with friends I've often said the government should subsidise the cost of low-energy light bulbs- turns out they do:

Imagine if all 60 million people in the UK changed to these bulbs that use about a tenth the power of ordinary ones? They only cost a pound too.

I like being an environmentalist who drives a Porsche, a contradiction that makes me smile. Framiliar indeed, yes it's a lovely background (It looked so nice on yours I couldn't resist- but my dad already had the cool black one- and it just wouldn't do to have the same as my dad now would it?), and thanks to Blairs Blog (and your own), I feel like there's at least half a dozen folks in Toronto that I know quite well.
